Hotel Opus -Adult only-

I’d stayed away because it looked expensive, but membership alone gets you 30% off, which makes it a great deal. The value rooms are compact, so keep that in mind if you want lots of space. A welcome drink and food are included, and my favorite was the 480 yen dinner bento. It seems to change regularly, and the photo shows the fried chicken bento. Getting the front desk to scan the app’s QR code or using discount tickets can be a bit of a hassle. If you make use of those features, though, you can get good value out of Opus.

The room was small and nothing like the one shown online. I think anyone staying here for the first time would feel they’d chosen the wrong hotel. It’s a shame, especially since the woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful. I booked a stay that included free breakfast. The only instruction from the front desk was to order it through the TV panel. When I got up early and tried, I couldn’t place an order. Calling the front desk got me the explanation that it had to be ordered by 3am, so I missed breakfast. The other services on the panel were all sold out too, which made me wonder if they were even available.

There was a shampoo and bath salts buffet at the entrance, and cosplay costume rentals were available. The entrance was so clean that it oddly made me hope the room would be clean too. The room itself was clean, including the bed area, which made the strong cigarette smell as soon as I opened the door a real shame. Depending on the room rank, the sink and bathroom may be right by the entrance, which gave the room a strange business hotel feel. The bathroom wasn’t very big, but the tub was large enough for two people. It isn’t cheap, though a coupon might bring the price closer to average.
