The price feels too good to be true for what’s inside, and I think there’s a catch. A three-star hotel for $50 USD a night, with things you’d find in five-star hotels. We tested all parts of the room for hidden cameras. We found one in the middle section of the big bathroom mirror, a vertical rectangle about 20cm tall. There was another in the old-fashioned video game machine facing the bed, which was broken and didn’t work. We haven’t found any others, but there could be more. Be careful if you go to this cheap love hotel.

I was traveling on foot from Kyoto to Tokyo and was completely worn out. The hotel was cheap, comfortable, and easy to use, including for foreigners. They let me stay even though I was on my own.

They said kids were allowed, but even the entrance made it obvious this was a love hotel, not a family or business hotel. We wasted our money and cancelled.
