Omotenashi House Kawaguchi

The apartment is dark, uncomfortable, and smells moldy. Nearly all the furniture is old and broken, and the bed is completely trashed, like it belongs in a junkyard rather than a hotel. The wallpaper is peeling, the bathroom sink is coming loose, and the whole place feels so old it’s falling apart. It’s at least 40 minutes from Tokyo city center. Don’t ruin your vacation by staying in this God forsaken place.

The price goes up a bit during Golden week, but this is still a great place to stay. It’s close to convenience stores, the train station, and a drugstore, with lots of restaurants around too. It feels almost like renting an apartment, so even though it’s a little pricey, I think it’s worth the money. I’d recommend it if you want an apartment-style hotel.

Having a kitchen means I can cook my own meals, and the room feels spacious for the price. It’s just a few minutes on foot to the station, then a short train ride to Tokyo Station. I’ve stayed here several times, and whenever something comes up, they respond quickly and politely. That makes it easy to stay here with peace of mind.
