I came from the USA for a family wedding and booked nine nights. I’ve been here for seven already, and I’m sad that I have to leave in two days. The hotel is cozy and comfortable, the staff are warm and helpful, and everything is clean. I love opening the windows for fresh air and relaxing in my room, then having a soak in the deep bathtub each evening. The bidet toilets feel like a nice luxury. Pajamas are available, as are free razors, hairbrushes, toothbrushes, washcloths, and face cleansers. I used the laundry machines downstairs this morning. Coffee and tea are available at all hours. Breakfast has sausage, eggs, salad, rolls, cereal, and juices. The hotel is between two train stations, with 711s, restaurants, and other convenience stores nearby. Every American tourist loves a Japanese 711! You can request a full room cleaning, or leave your towels and trash outside and get fresh towels and a new trash bag left at your door.

I stayed for a month and had no complaints. It’s a small business hotel between two train stations, about a 10-minute walk to each. The staff are friendly, and their English ranges from limited but passable to great.

Really nice.

The nearby train was noisy, and I didn’t get enough sleep. The room is really small for two adults, though it’s acceptable for one person. The bathtub is small, and the toilet seems uncomfortable for larger people. There’s no large public bath. I paid extra for breakfast, but there were few items, so it felt more like a service than a proper meal. You can apparently eat in your room, but there isn’t much space. It’s quite a walk from the station, though the front desk staff were always friendly. There’s a Seven-Eleven nearby and a place for drinks; the rest of the neighborhood is mostly private homes. The rate seemed high, probably because it was inbound tourist season, and I didn’t feel the stay was worth it. It was a bit disappointing.

I’d been fine with the hotel up to this point, and the tea was delicious, but my room facing the tracks was so loud that it sounded like a plane passing every five minutes. There was never a quiet moment. I couldn’t sleep at all, and sleeping pills and earplugs didn’t help. The noise kept waking me up. The air conditioner also seemed to vibrate and got so loud that I finally turned it off. I don’t know if it was old or what, but I couldn’t leave it running. I called the front desk to ask about switching to a room on the other side, but the phone just rang and rang without an answer. I don’t know whether the staff member on duty the night of December 15th had fallen asleep, ignored me because it was inconvenient, or thought it was fine to sleep because nothing was happening. Whatever the reason, that behavior and attitude are unacceptable for someone being paid to do the job. People do fall asleep sometimes, but being unable to answer a ringing phone isn’t a good sign at work. It’s just like the LDP, the enemy of the people, which only cares about itself. The next day was very important, and I can’t imagine paying 10,000 yen and not sleeping a wink. The following day was terrible. I was exhausted, and it was worse than a nightmare. This isn’t just a complaint, it’s legitimate criticism. It violated my human rights. I also paid a lot for breakfast, but there was very little and it wasn’t worth the price. A convenience store or family restaurant would probably be better. It felt like a huge waste, and I made a mistake paying for it. Be careful before spending a lot of money here. Asking for a room on the side away from the tracks is a waste, and breakfast is a complete waste too.
