JR East Hotel Mets Mizonokuchi

Checking in meant dealing with a clunky machine. Maybe management thought these costly, useless machines would make things more efficient, but a person had to work through one just to complete a simple task. This was capitalism at its most inept. The hotel management should be executed.

The staff looked after my belongings well, even when I left my luggage before check-in, and they were helpful and supportive. Service and cleanliness were very good. Drinking water was limited to 300 ml per day, which isn't enough for one person, so please offer another way to get it. I also wasn't told that breakfast coupons could be used for other meals. I had several left, but didn't use them because I thought they were breakfast-only. At many other hotels, unused coupons are taken back.

Breakfast doesn't offer much for vegetarians or vegans, though you can manage if you eat eggs. The rooms are small and cosy, fine for one person. The hotel is right by Mizonokuchi station, with a convenience store in the building and Denny's there too. Paid laundry rooms and vending machines are handy, and there's a fridge in the room.

The coffee was great, and check-in and check-out were easy. There are lots of places to eat nearby, including Danny's.
