I paid 10,000 yen per person for a stay with breakfast and dinner, close enough to walk to the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival. The bath could also be reserved for private use at certain times.

The service was awful, even after I booked online. They were incredibly condescending. I've stayed at all sorts of guesthouses in Izu, and this was the worst. I'm never coming back!

The owners were friendly, the location was good, and the food was excellent. Still, I probably won't stay again. There was no refrigerator in the room, and bringing a cooler box or insulated bag was prohibited. Private bath use was capped at 30 minutes, and it couldn't be used outside the reserved slot. Rakuten Travel listed bath towels, but we only got regular towels. I usually spend over an hour enjoying the hot springs and scenery, so that was a real letdown. Neither the room nor the bath had a lock, which left me uneasy and unable to relax. The food itself was surprisingly good, but dinner was served in the room and we were asked to clear it after about an hour. I couldn't take my time with the meal and a drink. Breakfast was in the room too, and we ate, cleaned up, and left right away.

The innkeepers were kind and polite, and the fish was delicious, so thank you for looking after us. The stay still left us disappointed with some of the facilities. After we put our bags in the room, a huge spider appeared. My mother and I froze, and my husband got rid of it with insecticide after parking the car. During dinner, webs were fluttering around the room. I know bugs come with the surrounding mountains, but it was still unpleasant. We had the baths to ourselves, but the men's and women's outdoor baths were quite different. The men's one seemed much nicer. The women's bath was dark, with no view of the ocean or surroundings, and the stool was so dirty we couldn't sit on it. It should be replaced. Even so, perhaps this will become a lovely memory.

Near Imaihama Beach and the harbor, this is a modest guesthouse where the rooms, baths, and meals are simple. It's affordable and perfectly fine for a relaxing stay. The food may divide people: it isn't fancy, and anyone focused on presentation might find it plain. But the owners prepare it carefully, and it tastes good.
