Cottage Kikuta

The children loved the loft in the trailer house, and we could cook in the kitchen and unwind with a bath. Wi-Fi is available, but there's no washing machine. The nearest coin laundry is in the Creme Miura parking lot. On clear days, the starry sky is beautiful. The owner is a very friendly fisherman and fishing boat owner, and also tells stories at the folk museum. We stayed for a weekend and would like to come back if we get the chance.

We stayed in Building B as two families and had a great time at the end of summer. The interior felt even more spacious and comfortable than it looked outside, and I can see why the place gets such high ratings. There was a deck on the side away from the neighboring building, so we could set off handheld fireworks outdoors without worrying. Being close to the ocean also seemed to mean fewer bugs, thankfully. The BBQ set had only two charcoal grills, so I'd bring another if you have growing kids. A home improvement store, supermarket, and pharmacy are just a 2-3 minute drive away. It's a bit of a walk to the breakwater, but you can enjoy an ocean view there. There's also a large playground beside the park golf course, great for families with small children. Thanks for the fun memories!

The living and dining area was lovely, and the bedroom, bathroom, and shower were comfortable too. The owner was wonderful, and I wish we'd stayed longer. It was easy to choose whether to eat out or bring food back to cook or barbecue, since the trailer home had plenty of amenities. The place was spacious, clean, comfortable, and affordable. Inside it was so tidy that it felt like a room in a luxury apartment. Thank you for continuing to welcome us.

The cottage looks cute and the inside is lovely. The sheets were crisp, the futon was fluffy, and I slept really well. It had enough equipment, though you'll need to bring garbage bags because you have to take all your trash with you, and cleaning the bath is your responsibility. The buildings are far enough apart that we could relax without worrying about the neighbors. I'd stay here again when I visit Kesennuma.
