I visited for a day trip. The water in the hot spring bath is circulated, heated, and has chlorine added. You can smell the chlorine, and the water is very salty. The facility is better than Kanyo Kesennuma.

The outdoor onsen has a spectacular view of Kesennuma Bay. My room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was superb. A wonderful experience, highly recommended.

In winter it gets really cold, so keep the AC on. The onsen, or public bath, was nice, and I liked the high-quality Japanese-style breakfast. The rest was pretty standard. It’s one of the biggest tourist hotels in Kesennuma, in the main area near the port, restaurants, and shops.

I only went for the onsen, which cost 800¥ and was well worth it. It’s a beautiful saltwater bath with a view, and that was my first time trying one.
