The breakfast omelet was delicious. There are restaurants around, but many close early, and the convenience stores are far away, so it’s better to eat before arriving or book dinner too. The place is part of Kikuchi City's hometown tax donation program. Getting there from the circuit meant taking Prefectural Road 205, the Hara-Tatemon Line. A roadside notice said construction would run from March 7th to June 7th, 2022, but it still looked unfinished in late July. The signs were confusing, with mentions of construction, detours, and reopening, but we did manage to get through. We followed a sign toward Kikuchi Country Club for the pension and arrived safely. The natural surroundings make it easy to forget the busy city. Things like the TV not having a d-button function, a shared toilet without a bidet, Wi-Fi that didn’t work in the rooms, and a balcony set aside for smoking hardly bothered me there.
