Hotel Kimitsu Hills

The price was reasonable, and I'd be happy to stay again. It's a simple business hotel with friendly reception staff. The breakfast buffet starts at 6:30am, which was very helpful.

There aren't many restaurants nearby, though there is a FamilyMart and a Yax Drugstore. The hotel is far from the station, so getting there without a car could be difficult. Only about 10 cars fit in the lot in front, and if it's full at check-in, the second lot is about 500m away. I stayed in a smoking twin room. It's about 2000 yen cheaper than hotels by Kimitsu Station, so it's a good choice if keeping costs down matters most.

The price is low, but the bathroom is cramped and has a lot of mold. There's also way too much hair on the bed and in the bathroom. The toilet seat doesn't fit the toilet properly, which is stressful.

The semi-double room was roomy and comfortable. I appreciated the welcome drink at check-in, either water or Oronamin C, the complimentary drink server, and the one free alcoholic drink available until 11:00 PM. There's a bath in the room, plus a small public bath where you can relax. You can adjust the water temperature at the faucet. Breakfast is a buffet with Japanese dishes and bread. It was a small spread, but I was satisfied. They also offer complimentary curry during dinner hours, though it runs out when it's gone, so you might get lucky with the timing. The hotel is about a five-minute drive from Kimitsu Station, among residential areas, with a convenience store and pharmacy nearby. Parking in front is limited. There's another lot farther away, so arriving early is best if it's raining. The building seems quite old. Reception and meal service are handled by one person, so some explanations and service get skipped, though the pamphlet has the details. If you don't expect too much, I think it offers decent value. I recommend a non-smoking room, as I personally found the smoking room difficult. When I stayed, most of the guests seemed to be construction workers.
