The people were kind and helpful, and breakfast was tasty enough to fuel me for several mountain climbs. Afterward, soaking in the sulphur hot spring felt like a blessing. That’s why I still gave it five stars, despite the tired, deteriorating facilities, which could use investment, especially the toilets and bath area. There were old items in the rooms too, like a rotary phone and a VHS recorder.

It’s run by an elderly couple, and the inn has an old-fashioned Showa-era feel, classic despite its age. The hot spring is authentic, rather than a public bath. The location is handy, right by the shrine entrance, with a bus stop nearby for getting into town. My one gripe is the Wi-Fi. On the second and third floors the signal is weak, so I had to go outside or downstairs to the counter to use it.

The hot spring bath left me very satisfied, and both the location and price were great. The building itself is old.

I spent three days and two nights here for training and therapeutic bathing. The owner and his wife were kind, and I appreciated their hospitality, the lovely hot springs, and the warm meals.

The hot spring was beautiful, and the water warmed me up wonderfully. The hostess was also so elegant and beautiful that coming just to see her wouldn’t be an exaggeration. I highly recommend visiting!
