The neighborhood is peaceful and full of little places to discover, and it's an easy walk to the bus stop for Kyoto's major sights. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the shared areas were cleaned each day while guests were out. Tadashi-san and Yuki-san were kind, welcoming hosts to us, a same-sex female couple, and our 10 month old daughter. They also suggested great places to eat and visit, and helped arrange our taxi back to the train station. We hope we can stay at their guesthouse again someday.

Tadashi-san and Yuki-San were so helpful and welcoming, and even left Japanese snacks for us every day. The room looked just as it did on the booking site, and it was clean and comfortable. It's a peaceful, zen-like area near shrines. Though it's outside the city center, the bus stop is within walking distance, so major attractions are easy to reach. I had a really lovely stay here. 😊

With two supermarkets nearby and a kitchen available for cooking, the guesthouse is convenient too. The owner is so kind and prepares Japanese sweets every day. It's right beside Kinkaku-ji Temple, with buses to Ginkaku-ji Temple, the Philosopher's Path, Kinkaku-ji Temple, and Arashiyama. Heian Shrine, Kyoto Museum of Art, Eikando Temple, and Nanzen-ji Temple are all walkable.
