Koshikano Onsen

That open-air bath view was stunning, and the private onsen let us relax at our own pace without worrying about crowds. Koshikano is known for its “skin-beautifying” hot spring water, and my skin did feel smooth and refreshed afterward. The mountain view from the sauna was lovely too. My Japanese husband booked the stay for our wedding anniversary, so the peaceful setting and beautiful scenery made it feel especially memorable. The whole place was cozy as well as luxurious. Staff were kind and attentive, and check-in and checkout both went smoothly. Meals came included, already prepared in the room, which was convenient. They used local ingredients, looked beautiful, and tasted delicious. The room had modern appliances that were easy to use. The bedroom was separate from the kitchen and dining area, but it still felt private, and I liked that the kitchen ceiling could open up and make the space feel airy and connected to nature. For a couple's break with good food, modern comforts, and a private onsen, Koshikano Hot Spring worked really well for us, especially for an anniversary.

After a long day on the bike, having my own room onsen was just what I needed. The water temperature is controlled with hot and cold taps, and it was so relaxing. The rooms are small, but there’s a dining area, a spacious bathroom, vending machines with food and drinks, and ice cream too. I cycled here from Izumi through some breathtaking scenery. The staff were super welcoming and helpful, and I’d definitely stay again. Best stay ever!

A really terrific, modest little inn, with a personal onsen in the room. They provide towels and yukata, plus hot water and tea and coffee bags. The vending machine food selection is limited. Bring the hotel's name and address written in Japanese, since it took three cab drivers to work out where we were going. The ride was about USD25 and 30 minutes.

Tucked away in a wooded valley, it's quiet, relaxing, and rejuvenating, a lovely place to spend a few days. The onsens are amazing and the whole stay was wonderful. Food is included, fresh, and plentiful, and the staff are pleasant and very helpful. Can't rate it highly enough.
