We only had one night and wished we could’ve stayed longer, there was so much to enjoy. The place feels peaceful and friendly, and the rooms were luxurious and very clean. The buffet had a great spread of delicious food, too. There’s something for all ages: a ball pit for little kids, karaoke and mahjong rooms for adults, and a relaxing rooftop area. We also enjoyed the outdoor pool and park, with comfortable lounges. The onsen is spacious, has a good range of baths, and includes a beautiful outdoor bath. The hotel is roomy, attractive, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and especially thoughtful with guests. For the price, we couldn’t believe how much we got to enjoy.

I went on a Kyushu trip last week with my best friend after six years apart, and we had a wonderful stay at The Pulse Kirishima Hotel. The room was spotless and well cared for, with natural wood in the closet and storage area that made it feel warm and cozy. It was spacious, with calm colors, simple elegant decor, tatami flooring, and really comfortable beds. We liked relaxing on the large sofa by the window and taking in the peaceful feel of the room. One unusual touch was the smart mirror with a TV display built in, which was handy and felt very modern. The design overall mixes contemporary comforts with Japanese style nicely. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Kirishima who wants a comfortable stay with something a little different.

There’s plenty of room, with big guest rooms and lots of shared spaces to relax. It’s family friendly, and the newly renovated hotel has a choice of free onsen as well as private baths you can book for a fee. Highly recommended.

The rooms are clean and new, and the infrastructure feels new as well. You get a lot for your money, including a buffet with an excellent range of food.
