The host makes soba by hand, and both the Yamame udon and local tofu were delicious. I was glad to have two nights here. It was my first stay at j-house, though I’ve visited Kaida Plateau twice before. There’s so much food. I eat a lot, so I managed it all, but if you eat slowly, you might be full after just 10 minutes.

I was there for work and really enjoyed the food. Dinner included both fish and meat, and breakfast came with homemade bread. I was very satisfied and would be happy to come back.

We stayed in the main building, where the room was clean and the shared bathroom and toilet were well kept. The Japanese dinner was generous and tasty, especially the owner’s soba, which we liked so much we wanted more. A cute dog greeted us, too. Just before checkout, we asked if we could buy corn since it was in season. They kindly went out to the field to pick some, and it was exceptionally sweet and delicious fresh.

The food left me completely satisfied, and I’d love to return after relaxing in the middle of nature. It was such a peaceful pension, with cute, calming dogs that helped me unwind.

We were having such a fun time with friends, so being told to “eat faster” was really disappointing. The meal lasted about an hour, which doesn’t seem like I was eating especially slowly. I’ll never come back, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it.
