The facilities are a bit old, though they’ve been kept up well. We had dinner and breakfast. Dinner was okay, but I thought it could have been more flavorful. The room and onsen had beautiful views, and the location was perfect for enjoying the beach and some peace.

The hotel is nice, but I’m giving it just one star because the path to the beach is dangerous. There’s a large uncovered water drain that’s difficult to see among the plants. My child fell into it.

We watched the sunrise and dozens of fishing boats from our balcony, and fell asleep to the sound of the powerful Pacific waves. Dinner and breakfast featured lots of seafood and local produce. The rooms face the ocean, and the rooftop hot spring bath is amazing. An absolute hidden gem and a one-of-a-kind stay, right in front of “the rock” and the beach.

A real hidden gem, especially as a stop between Tokyo and Tohoku. The kaiseki dinner was exquisite, and both the room and rooftop hot bath had wonderful views of the seaside and sunrise.
