Country Inn Mori No Gorilla

The course dinner was so good that it's the main reason I'll return. Everything at the pension exceeded what I expected, from the fancy, cozy western-style interior to the warm atmosphere. It's very close to popular ski areas, mountains, and hot springs, with skiing, snowboarding, trekking, and mountain climbing nearby. Suzuki-san, thank you for the wonderful meal and warm hospitality. I won't forget this lovely vacation, and I'll definitely come back next year.

The owner also seems to work as a guide, and gave us a kind, detailed explanation of Bandai Kogen's history. The interior was lovely, and the quiet lounge made it easy to relax. The owner couple's hospitality was wonderful, and the food was incredibly delicious. I had such a relaxing stay and will definitely return.

There's a unique atmosphere here, and it's a nice place to stay. Since there aren't many restaurants in the area, I'd recommend reserving the excellent dinner prepared by the host couple too.

The owners were so warm and welcoming that we wished we could stay another week. The owner is a mountain guide, so we got caught up in mountain stories and lost track of time. We spent two nights here while hiking in the Tohoku region, and I was completely satisfied. The owner designed the pension himself. It's spacious, and dried flowers are displayed throughout the rooms and shared spaces, giving the place a cozy, stylish feel. In autumn, the flowers dry naturally, so he picks them for decorating. His wife's taste really shows in the arrangements. The meals were carefully made with local ingredients and creative ideas. Every dish was delicious. We thought the fish would be the main course, but a meat dish followed, making for a luxurious menu worthy of a high-end restaurant. It was a memorable, wonderful inn.
