The beds were comfortable, and the double room was a decent size. It was quiet even with nearby construction and road traffic, though the window looked out on the heavy industry around Kokura port. The hotel is a clean, comfortable, convenient budget option a few minutes’ walk from the North-Shinkansen side of Kokura station. Check-in is on a multilingual machine. They offer tea and a welcome drink when you arrive, and there’s a work area on the lobby level. You can switch on the fridge and take pajamas or amenities only if you need them, which avoids waste and fuss. The separate recycling bin is a particularly nice touch.

The breakfast was a little cold. The hotel is fairly close to JR station, but the north exit area is much quieter than the south. Most shops are on the south side, so you have to walk along a quiet path beside a tunnel or go back through the JR station to get to the restaurants.

This was quite a find, with breakfast included and a 7-11 across the street. It’s one block from Kokura station. The hotel has no frills, but there are handy extras like drinks in the lobby. There was scaffolding up for construction, though I didn’t hear it. The rooms were warm and clean, with all the necessary amenities. Check it out!

Restaurants were easy to reach on foot, and there’s a convenience store right in front of the hotel. Paid parking is available. The location is great, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were helpful. Our room was clean and spacious.
