The room and bathroom were clean, and unlike some places we've stayed in Japan, there was no black mold on the wall. That matters to me. The front desk staff were especially welcoming, and they can hold luggage for free if you arrive before check-in. I'd stay here again if I return to Mojiko. It's not a bad hotel, and the staff really made the difference for me. The walk from Mojiko station is longer than you'd expect: at least 20 minutes without luggage and 25 with it. There are plenty of closer hotels. I don't mind the walk with little or no luggage, but carrying a large bag would make it long and painful. Their shuttle to the train station runs at 8 and 9am, but it's infrequent and needs to be reserved in advance. Prices, rooms, and amenities are all average. Breakfast is decent, there's a laundry machine, and coffee is free at reception. The hotel and its amenities are decent overall, and the staff have a good attitude.

The room itself was okay, but I found tiny creatures that looked like mites on and under the blanket and on the pillow in both single beds. When I told the staff, they changed the bedding on only one bed, even though both seemed infested. At my request, they removed the other bed's bedding altogether. Vacuuming wasn't an option, and the staff didn't respond to how uncomfortable I felt. I felt awful during that one night and for days afterward.

The restaurant was wonderful, with great Japanese food and very friendly staff. Breakfast was buffet style and, by far, the best Japanese buffet I've had. The hot spring was also lovely. I warmed up there before dinner, then learned it stays open until 2 am, so I could go again after watching the Mojiko fireworks tonight. Strongly recommended.

The breakfast buffet was really tasty, and both the service and the room were clean. The bath was a little too hot for me, and there's no outdoor onsen, but I liked the hotel otherwise.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel has plenty of parking. There's also a bath on the top floor, though I didn't use it.
