Premier Hotel Mojiko

The location is very good, but the rooms are a bit outdated, and the fridge wasn’t getting cold at all. Parking for hotel guests costs 1100 yen per night/stay, and there’s an accommodation tax of 200 yen per person. We stayed three nights with breakfast included. The food was okay, but there was little variety across the three mornings. The main changes were small ones, like potatoes being replaced by chicken nuggets or a different fish. Most of the selection stayed exactly the same, especially on the first and third days. They could improve the variety. Breakfast service was poorly organized. On the first morning we arrived around 8:00 AM and were told to wait 15-20 minutes for a seat. We came earlier, around 7:40 AM, the next day and were seated right away. About ten minutes later, though, lots of guests were waiting outside while several tables inside were still empty. Making people wait when seats are available doesn’t seem efficient, especially when guests want to get on with sightseeing and activities.

For our group of three, this was a very good value choice. We liked the in-room amenities, especially the pajamas, and the location was superb for exploring the city or catching a train or ferry. The front desk staff were professional and very attentive. The room’s features look visibly dated and need cosmetic renewal. The stay was excellent, and addressing the lack of refurbishment could bring the property up to a five-star level.

The staff took punctuality very seriously, and the check-in and check-out routine was oddly charming. I arrived less than ten minutes before the official 3:00 pm check-in. They completed the steps but asked me to wait and return to the counter exactly at 3:00 pm to officially check in. I took a short walk around the lobby and came back a few minutes later, and the same staff member helped me right on time. At checkout, staff appeared at the counter precisely at 11:00 am, and guests then queued. Not a minute earlier. The hotel is close to Mojiko Station and the main tourist spots. It isn’t new or modern, with more of an 80s–90s vibe, but it’s clean, comfortable, well maintained, and reasonably priced. I had a comfortable three-night stay and would definitely come back.

Watching the boats and evening lights from our window was a highlight. Our large room was spotless and comfortable, with a lovely view over the dock and quayside. Premier Hotel Mojiko offers good value for the space, comfort, and location. It’s just a short walk from the train station and right by the waterfront. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt relaxed yet elegant. A wonderful place to stay in Mojiko.
