It's an older building, but clean, with spacious rooms and a spot right across from the station. The east side is quieter, separated from the downtown bustle by two roads, which suits anyone who doesn't like the noise. Breakfast had plenty of freshly made food rather than frozen items, and everything I tried was delicious. I was glad to have coffee in a proper cup and saucer instead of the paper cups that seem so common now. In winter, though, the nearby convenience stores and restaurants felt a bit far away.

I stayed for two nights in early March, and the price was very reasonable. Getting there was quick and easy since the hotel is close to the station, and there's a very good restaurant nearby. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the temperature felt just right despite the cold weather. Vending machines are on the first floor. The staff were helpful, too. I accidentally tore a plastic toilet-paper holder, explained what happened, and apologized. They didn't charge me extra.

Paco Junior Kitami is near Kitami Station, so getting there is easy, and it seems suited to business travelers. You can have dinner in the hotel, which is handy if you don't want to go out. The building is older, but it has business-focused facilities, including laundry for 400 yen. With the station nearby and the essentials available, it works as a convenient base for a visit to Kitami.
