The room layout seems designed to fit in as many rooms as possible. The bed was a little too small for comfort, the desk made it awkward to get past, and there wasn't much floor space to open luggage. The bathroom felt old, with a high step up that could be hazardous if you forget it, are half asleep, or it's dark. The shower has separate hot and cold taps, so it was frustrating to get a comfortable temperature, and it fluctuated while I used it. The hotel is dated but functional, and the staff were pleasant and capable. The price was reasonable, though I doubt I'd book again in similar circumstances. It was my first time in Kobe, and I assumed Kobe Station would be the best place to stay for sightseeing. Now I know I should've stayed near Sannomiya Station. The area around Kobe Station is much quieter, with easy access to Harbour Land. The station is easy to reach, and the hotel is one street away.

We only stayed one night. In the morning, the hotel's water system failed, so we couldn't shower or drink the tap water. Staff gave us a ¥1000 discount coupon for accredited stores around Kobe City as compensation. There were no romaji or English signs for the hotel, which made it hard to find at night for foreign tourists visiting Kobe for the first time.

The reception was very nice. The room was small and smoky, a little dated but clean and well maintained. The pillows were good, and there was a fridge and bath amenities.

It feels a bit like a budget hotel in Kobe. The single room had everything but was really small. The other rooms are very good, and if I come back, I'll definitely choose one of those. 🤗👍
