We cooked in the kitchen a lot, and the common room had plenty of information in several languages about things to do around Kansai. There’s also a nice rooftop. The beds and bathrooms were clean, and the location was convenient. The staff member spoke good English and paid attention to details. Since we were staying three nights, he gave us better dorms than the ones I’d booked. We really appreciated that.

Edit: I found a huge cockroach wandering around the room near the beds, and there was a foul smell I couldn't identify. I was completely disgusted. It may not be the cleanest place. Before that, this was one of my favorite places to stay in Kobe. It has a unique, comfortable retro, artistic, bohemian feel, lol. The staff are friendly, the prices are reasonable, and it has what you need.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable, with more room than most guesthouse bunks. The hostel has a fun vibe and decor. It seemed a bit cluttered and maybe a little dirty, but that suited the style. Easy to find, close to Kobe Station, and handy for my early flight from Kobe Airport. Just be ready to take the stairs.

The narrow wooden stairs made hauling my luggage up to the room difficult. Apart from that, I had a perfect stay and would recommend it. It’s a small place with a personal feel rather than a commercial one. If you like smaller hostels, the staff are incredible and the decor is cute.

The bathrooms aren't on every floor, and the toothbrushing area is a shared trough. We only stayed one night, so I can't comment on the shower or kitchen. The place was clean and relaxed, with nice music. The beds were fairly spacious, and their curtains gave a good sense of privacy. Each one has a huge free locker that can hold all your luggage, which was great.
