It was a bit expensive, but the food, service, and private onsen were the best.

A great place to stay, though it could do more to meet men’s needs.

The staff were friendly, though the way things were managed felt a little harsh.

The food was a real highlight for me. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, with dishes prepared just how I like them, and being able to use the baths at the partner place, Choraku, made the stay even better. The room was comfortable, spotless, and well kept, and the service felt attentive and warm throughout. I've stayed at ryokans in different parts of Japan, but this is the first one that's made me want to come back. I've told my family about it already, and we're planning to return together next year. A stay I highly recommend.
