The breakfast buffet was the highlight for me: a huge selection, and everything tasted good. At around 1000 yen, it was well worth it. A henro looking to fuel up in the morning should consider it. The room was small, which is common at this price, but otherwise fine, and the facilities were clean. The staff were consistently professional. It’s a decent budget hotel in downtown Kochi, with a fair amount of seedy nightlife nearby, including hostess clubs, bars, and “massage” places. I paid 3900 for a single room.

For an economical stay by yourself, this place is a good option. It’s within walking distance of Kochi Station and in a great location. My single room was really small, and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. No frills or extras.

The front desk staff were friendly, but the rooms and facilities are old and pretty poor. The hotel feels like it may have been luxurious once. Hot water in the rooms comes quickly, but I don’t think it has anything else over newer hotels nearby. Breakfast costs 1,600 yen, and you can add it later, so it’s worth checking the buffet options first unless your company is paying for an expensive breakfast set. I added it after reading comments saying it was delicious, but I didn’t think the quality justified the price. Food in Kochi is usually good wherever you eat, so breakfast or local specialties outside might make you happier.
