The sea views from the bath and dining room are terrific, and the flounder sashimi at dinner was delicious and filling. The staff were very helpful too. Crossing the bridge on the way to this seaside inn adds to the vacation feeling.

The Kasado flounder course was good value, and the other dishes were reasonably priced too. That seems to be why so many locals come here. The building is old and a little unusual, but it appears well maintained, so I wasn't disappointed.
I've returned every year for more than ten years. It's a simple, really nice inn with its own path down to Hanaguri Beach, so you can head down in your swimsuit. The summer flounder kaiseki is delicious, and they'll cook the horse mackerel you catch on the beach as well.
The big communal bath was clean and had a lovely view, though it isn't a hot spring. The front desk service was just okay, with no particular problems. For the low price, the food is good, and the local flounder kaiseki was satisfying in both taste and portion size.
I've always liked Kasado Island's farmed flounder as sashimi, but the winter-only pufferfish special is delicious too. There was so much thick, chewy sashimi that the plate was full, and the pufferfish skin had a nice crunch. The hotpot had plenty of collagen around the bones, and the vegetables were fresh and tasty. It costs under 10,000 yen on weekdays, so this is quickly becoming a regular place for me to stay, haha.
