I stayed eight nights and found it really quiet, a great choice for a holiday. There are lots of restaurants around, and a 7eleven is about a five-minute walk away. Family mart, with an ATM, is roughly ten minutes on foot. Bring cash for the restaurants! My room was quite large and had a bathtub, air con, and a water dispenser. They made the bed and replaced the towels every day. To get to the train station, there’s a bus on the back street once an hour, and it takes half an hour to Tagane Station. Bring an international adaptor, though they can lend you one.

The staff were kind, but I found the trailer far too shaky, whether from the wind or from people moving around inside. Dinner was alright, though the BBQ is just a gas stove, so don’t expect a proper BBQ. Breakfast was horrific for me. There’s a fish restaurant beside the road where you’ll have to get breakfast, and at 7 a.m. I had sashimi, raw egg, and other fish dishes. I like seafood, just not raw and not first thing in the morning. If you aren’t Japanese, you may be disappointed by breakfast. We paid 27000yen for one night, which felt overpriced.

This was my second stay. The cottage I had the first time was roomy, almost like an apartment, with a nice little outdoor area to relax in and soft green grass. This time I was in a regular room on the second floor. It was a bit small, but still comfortable, and the shower room was big. The beach isn’t far away either.

It’s very close to Kujukuri Beach, and the room prices are good. The place used to be a love hotel, but it’s been renewed and now has the look of a small beach resort, with grass lawns and an area for surfers to wash their boards. There’s sheltered parking for five cars if you arrive early.
