The pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and huge LED screen in the garden were all highlights, and we made full use of them. I also had a go on the trampoline, even though I’m in my late 40s. It was too fun to pass up. On a rainy day, the sauna and jacuzzi would still be plenty to enjoy. I was especially taken with the chiller for cooling off after the sauna. I’d never seen one before, and it made the sauna experience even better. We stayed just one night and planned to cook with local seafood and produce. The kitchen made that easy and fun, with more than enough plates, cutlery, and cooking tools. It’s a high-end designer kitchen that makes you want to cook. The Balmuda toaster and oven worked well and looked great in photos, and the large dishwasher would be useful for a longer stay. There was a bag of original coffee beans waiting when we checked in. The automatic coffee machine grinds and brews them, so we woke up to freshly ground coffee each morning. I drink coffee every day and could tell it was good. When I asked, I learned a local coffee shop had blended the beans with quality in mind. We were told we could take the leftover beans home, and we’re still enjoying them. This place has a lot to offer at a high level, and I’d love to return.

We came with around ten people at the end of November last year. There’s a direct bus from Chiba Station to the nearest bus stop, and the ride took about an hour. It was cold outside, but the jacuzzi, sauna, and heated pool kept us having such a good time that we hardly noticed. Maybe the clear winter air helped, because the starry sky was beautiful. We were glad we came in winter. That evening, we had BBQ while watching the 200-inch monitor. In the morning, we made delicious pizza in the pizza oven. Those meals made the stay feel special, and we’d definitely come again when visiting Kujukuri.

This place gives you a luxurious break from Tokyo’s bustle, and it’s reserved for one group a day. It takes a little over an hour by car to get there, or, if you’re lucky, just two train transfers to the nearest station. Up to 16 people can relax here, with a large-screen monitor, pool, sauna, jacuzzi, trampoline, and dog run. You can bring your own ingredients for a BBQ, make your own pizza in the pizza oven, or choose a plan where the BBQ master handles everything. It feels like stepping into a movie, and that special time is sure to become a bookmark in your life.

The owners and staff made this stay feel special with their warm, thoughtful hospitality. We had the place to ourselves, and there was so much to enjoy: the big pool and jacuzzi were clean and usable in any weather, and the six-person sauna was a real treat. We also watched movies on the huge 200-inch screen, then used the pizza oven and BBQ for meals. The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable. Villa Sense Kujukuri was easily the best place I’ve stayed. We loved the whole experience and will be back.
