Kumagaya Sports Hotel Park Wing

The morning walk around the park was a nice part of the stay. The hotel sits inside a sports park, and from a balcony room you get a wide view of the court, which is worth seeing even if rugby isn't your thing. The spacious bath is set up for athletes and there's a sauna, though it only opens from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Rooms from single occupancy up have a unit bath, so that worked out fine. Card-key security is strict. It's a bit far from the station, so arriving by car is ideal. I stayed for the first time while it was on a limited-time sale.

After walking or running around the rugby field, it's a good spot to have a bath. There are two baths, a cold bath, and a sauna, and at some times it's not crowded at all, so you can take your time. Shampoo, treatment, and body soap are always there. Day-use bathing is 500 yen per hour without a towel or 800 yen with one, and 1,200 yen for the whole day. The multi-use ticket is 5,000 yen for 10 visits plus one extra visit, so it costs less. Keyed lockers are available to rent for small bags.

Watching the Wild Knights players practice made the stay fun 😊 The place felt cozy, and I could relax with a view of the rugby pitch right up until checkout. I left feeling refreshed, and would like to come back.

I've stayed here every year, and it's always clean and comfortable. There's a Lawson convenience store about a 5-minute walk away. To find it, leave the parking lot from the back, cross the lot in front, then turn right onto the narrow path. The Lawson is straight ahead.
