The rooftop lounge has a lovely view of the castle, and the hand-drawn maps of nearby restaurants and attractions around the Kumamoto castle are a nice touch. The location is excellent, and the hotel generally exceeded what I expected from a 3-Star hotel.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we had a great view of the Kumamoto Castle from our room. It was an easy, relaxing stay: the room was clean, spacious, and had the amenities we needed.

We loved the roomy room, castle view, welcoming reception, pyjamas, and Kumamon merch. This was the best hotel of our whole Japan trip in Kyushu. The location worked well too, with restaurants around the corner and the bus terminal an 8-minute walk away. My one reservation was the laundry cost: the dryer was 200 yen for 30 minutes, while other hotels charged 100 yen for what seemed to be the same machines. That felt a bit pricey.

The room was clean and bigger than the APA room we stayed in tokyo. I spent more than one night there and had a good stay. The staff were nice.

The room had a great view of Kumamoto castle, and the rooftop terrace was a lovely spot to watch the sun go down behind the castle grounds. Staff were kind, and the accommodation was clean and comfortable for a great price.
