Minamoto Village is where I grew up. The elementary school I went to closed three years ago, but I still come back now and then. There was a river where we used to catch crayfish, and in winter the elementary school kids would gather at night, striking matches and trying to start a fire. It was a quiet, peaceful place, far from the rush of city life. Growing up here, the city always felt like a bit much for me. There used to be fireflies everywhere. We weren't wealthy, but it was a calm place to live. I hope you find a little comfort here.

We were surrounded by nature, and it made for a really enjoyable stay. The entrance can be hard to spot, so take care if you're arriving in the evening. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the bath had a sauna. There's a covered BBQ area too, so we could grill even in the rain.

A standalone rental villa sits quietly among bamboo groves and trees. It has a barbecue area, a tent sauna, a pool, and another sauna in the indoor bathroom.
