Everything here feels cute and cozy, even though the room is small. The kitchen is a delight, and the lounge and rooftop feel comfortable and welcoming.

I liked how clean and beautifully decorated the accommodation was, and the host was very kind. But I had a bad experience with another guest who spoke loudly and made calls day and night. The noise carried because the walls are paper-thin and there's no basic soundproofing. Since it's a shared guesthouse, people need to be considerate and keep it down. She seemed not to understand how to behave in a shared space or follow basic etiquette.

I had a really comfortable three-night stay, and I'd come back if I'm ever in Kumamoto city. The facility was beautifully decorated, and the host was kind and very helpful. I'm so glad I stayed here. Thanks again for such a comfortable visit.

I had a tiny private tatami room. It was basic, but did everything I needed, with a fan, air conditioner, window, electrical socket, and surprisingly good lighting. The neighborhood is one of the nicest in Kumamoto, with cafes, street food stores, and some of the best kaiseki restaurants, including Matsuda. The place itself is cozy, practical, beautiful, and sweet, with thoughtful little details that make staying easy and everything super clean. It's more guesthouse than hostel, with a fantastic atmosphere that feels social but still private, a breath of fresh air for a lone female traveller. The guests include mature Japanese women as well as internationals. Service was friendly, thoughtful, and professional, just like the place. I left my luggage for a few hours, and when I came back there was a very sweet note on top. Thank you to the owner and the other women staying there for sharing such a lovely space so thoughtfully.

The futon in my single room was comfortable, and the hostel had a really cute feel. The walls were so thin, though, that I could hear the person next door, people walking around, and even late-night arrivals. I only stayed one night, but the woman at the front desk was kind and helpful. Getting in after 10pm requires a password. It was still lovely, and I’d come back. The design was so thoughtful, too.
