The room was really nice and cozy, and there’s parking. It sits on a slope, which could be a bit of a hassle for some, though it wasn’t a big problem. Keep in mind that all the restaurants close after 5 or 6pm. It’s better to ask for half board or buy food at the convenience store before you arrive, since there’s only one in the whole town.

The onsen and food were great. My Japanese tatami room was spacious, quiet, and clean, but the power outlets weren’t in convenient places. I had to unplug the water boiler behind the safe or use the outlet in the bathroom.

The place is quite cold, and even the onsen felt cold and quiet. We stayed one night at this beautiful hotel. I’d forgotten to order dinner when we arrived, but they offered me a discount to join their dinner, and I left completely full.

The only real snag was the laundry. There was just one washer-dryer, and its drying function wasn’t very good, so it could be tied up for hours. Otherwise, I had a really nice two-night stay at Yumerindo, overlooking the river. I liked both onsens, and the food and service were great.

The onsen was clean and lovely, and the staff were incredibly nice. I couldn’t have enjoyed this ryokan more. I’d definitely come back.
