HOTEL R9 The Yard Kurashiki

The room was small, but had what we needed, and there’s a handy laundry room. Donki, Lawson, and a few restaurants are nearby. The staff were helpful and nice. I’d recommend it.

A great, easy stay, and very clean. Good parking if you’re traveling by car or camper, with shops and restaurants nearby.

For stays of several nights, cleaning only happens once every four days, and the towels aren’t changed in between. You end up using the same ones for three days. There’s no way to contact the front desk from the room either, so you have to go outside and walk to the main building. Having a private room is fine, but the frozen snacks included with it are inedible. I don’t need that service. I’d rather pay for really good food, or have a cheaper room-only option.

The rooms are separate container houses, so you don’t have to worry about noise from neighbors, and they don’t have to worry about noise from you. The facilities are well equipped, and ready-to-eat meals are provided. Some rooms are a little far from the parking lot, but it’s manageable. There’s a convenience store right in front, which is handy. Check-in works the same way wherever you go.
