Hotel Seto Ohashi

The room and bed were spacious and comfortable, and the facilities were decent. I was in Kojima for work and stayed two nights with meals included. At the spa, several baths were closed for construction. The food was nothing special, and service took much too long even though nobody else was there. The second day I skipped the spa and showered in my room.

There's not much around here, and the coin laundry is only in the spa, which is a hassle if you're staying at the hotel without using that facility. The woman on staff was really helpful, but the man seemed lost and disorganized.

We ate breakfast at the restaurant in the spa next door. It had a nice old-fashioned Showa-era atmosphere, and the food was delicious. The spa is free for hotel guests, though it's quite run-down and only a few of the baths are usable. With such a large building, I imagine upkeep costs a lot, but I hope they can keep working on it. The hotel building is old, yet the rooms and beds were spacious and comfortable, with tables, chairs, and even a closet.

I've stayed here around ten times, usually when I'm in Kurashiki for work. The rooms are clean and spacious, even if the facilities aren't new. Having free use of the attached spa is a real plus, and with the manga corner and massage chairs, the value is very good.
