The old low rating seems to be from before the renovation. It's a lovely modern hotel now, with very friendly staff and a perfect location. They serve breakfast too.

The room was clean, and the TV was large enough for me to see well even with my poor eyesight, lol. The bed wasn't secured in place, though, and kept moving around. I booked at the last minute for a Golden Week trip to Washuzan Highland. Nearby hotels were mostly 10,000 yen or more per person each night, so finding this one for 7,000 yen with a room available felt lucky.

It was a small but quiet place, and I'd stay again for work or on a personal trip. I was there for work because it was near the site. They had free drinks and ramen for a late-night snack. There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, as well as supermarkets and drugstores, so it seemed handy for a longer stay.

I asked for an ocean-view room and was told it had been arranged, but they gave me one facing the train station instead. As other reviews have said, the staff seem extremely incompetent.

The room was much nicer than the outside made me expect, which was a pleasant surprise lol. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from Kojima Station, with a 7-Eleven and Hama Sushi nearby. The keychain stretched out fine and the lock worked, so just take your time with it and don't get flustered. I'd happily stay here again!
