Our twin room was fairly spacious, and we were happy with the hotel during our four-night stay. Breakfast was included, with a good range of food and attentive service keeping everything clean and replenished. Both the breakfast area and lounge are on the top floor. The lounge has floor-to-ceiling windows, and we watched the sunrise at 6:50am and the river seem to flow backwards in strong westerly winds. The baths take a little figuring out: access is from the top floor, down a corridor from the lifts, since they're in an adjacent building. The men's bath is on L11, with an internal staircase up to the outdoor bath. The women's bath is on L9; I'm not sure how its outdoor bath access works. We also used the family bath, a private lockable room with a bath for two and an opening window. There's seating and a table for six, plus a TV. It cost Y1800 per hour.

We were placed in the new wing, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was clean and parking was readily available, so we didn't have to worry about finding a spot. The public bath had pools at several temperatures and an outdoor section where you could watch programs on an 80 inch TV.

The onsen was wonderful, with a full view of the famous bridge and river despite being right in the city center. Special thanks to Mr Lin from Taiwan, who was incredibly helpful and quick to support us with a room issue. His dedication is what makes this hotel special. Thanks, Mr Lin!

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, though it's better to book ahead because they fill up easily at night. Seico Mart is about a two-minute walk away, and MOO is just a few minutes from the hotel. Our room was spacious, modern, and stylish, but noise from the neighbors was a real nuisance. I had requested the best possible view, yet the view from our room was very poor. Breakfast was okay, but disappointing without fresh Sashimi, which many Hokkaido hotels offer. There were also too many dishes made with Salmons. The public bath was just okay. It's said to be a Natural Hot Spring, and it stays open from check-in until 10:00AM the next morning, which was good.

The onsen was somewhat untidy, and the many house rules didn't feel very foreigner friendly. A lot of the hotel signs and instructions were only in Japanese. Breakfast wasn't great, with no sashimi or ikura. It took about 15 minutes to walk from Kushiro station, and my room had no window. I hadn't noticed that detail in the booking site information.
