The room made it easy to settle in: lots of space, clean and comfortable, with WiFi that worked brilliantly. I could connect my travel router to the in-room Ethernet, and there were outlets where I needed them. The 13th-floor Onsen was lovely and well equipped, with a nice view from the window. Coffee from the machine downstairs was good, though only available at certain times from 6am, and the meals looked tempting even though we didn't try them. The price felt very fair for what we got. We arrived on a tandem bicycle, and the staff were welcoming from the start. They helped us with self check-in, spoke good English, and smiled throughout. When we asked about parking, one man came from behind the desk and hurried out back to show us where to leave the bike. The parking spot was uncovered, which was the one thing that could have been better. We had a wonderful stay, and I really appreciated how polite everyone was.

The staff were very helpful, and otherwise the hotel was good. Still, the noise was a real bother. We heard what sounded like construction at night, along with every heavy footstep from the guests above. At times it seemed like furniture was being moved for hours.

The rooftop Onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths, plus a sauna and an ice bath. After a soak, there are free yogurt drinks in the morning and ice cream at night, along with massage chairs you can use at no charge. I also liked the rooftop work area overlooking the ocean. Breakfast is a 3,000 yen buffet, and you can just walk in. It includes sashimi rice and plenty of grilled seafood. Awesome hotel.

The location gives you excellent views, though it's a fair distance from the train station. If you're carrying luggage, you'll need to take a taxi from the station. The facilities and service are at the same level as other Dormy Inn Premium hotels.

The sunset view is beautiful, and getting around is easy with a bus stop, restaurants, and a market nearby. The service was the best I had during my stay in Hokkaido.
