Niseko Powder Chalet

The place has a shared kitchen with good equipment and a nice little living room, plus two parking spaces, though parking isn't a problem in the area. The rooms are small and simple, but clean and have everything you need. The shared bathroom and showers are comfortable and clean too. It's self check-in, so I never met the owners. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Read the owner's email and attachments before arriving, since they contain the front door code, room key box code, and wifi password. The guesthouse is an easy, flat walk from Kutchan train station. It's set in an old renovated Japanese house, with a large communal living and dining area, small kitchen, laundry, showers, toilets, and seven rooms, each with its own sink. The interior is beautiful, and it's genuinely a nice place to stay. My room had a very comfortable firm mattress and a super soft pillow. The walls are a little thin, though, so some sound carries. I was beside the toilet and could hear the other guest using it. It didn't wake me, but light sleepers may want to avoid rooms E and C.
