The location was convenient, near a shuttle stop and the Main Street, but the bar down the street played very loud, bassy music from midnight to 2am every night, waking us up. We barely slept because the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. I know Japanese bedding can be firmer, but this was terrible. In apartment number 1, a street light shines right outside with no blackout blinds, so it feels like broad daylight all night. The main bedroom is next to the main entry, where people slam the front door at all hours. The entry is also where smokers hang out and talk loudly. There were no basics like salt, pepper, tea, or coffee. There was no coffee machine, just a tiny French press, and only one mug, with the rest being very small coffee cups. The lounge cushion covers were filthy, and I'm not sure they'd ever been washed. Apartment 1 also had only a basic Australian-style toilet in the ensuite, with no Japanese toilet or bidet. The washing machine was in a communal washroom with two machines in the drying room for all the apartments. The dryers took absolutely forever and left our clothes covered in more fluff than before washing. We definitely wouldn't stay there again.
