The couple were just as healthy as ever, and they were very nice. It had been a while since I’d eaten crab, and it was delicious as always. We could hear people in the next room exclaiming, “Delicious!” The boat-shaped platter was a bit disappointing this time, with only abalone, shrimp, and tuna. Still, we were given enough crab for two as a parting gift, and I’d like to visit again. If you’ve stayed before, you’ll know the setup: the toilet is only on the first floor, and the family bath fits about two people. I’d definitely recommend going at least once.

The guesthouse had a warm, nostalgic feel that reminded me of being at home or taking a seaside trip in elementary school. The couple were lovely: the father was quiet, while the mother smiled whenever I asked her for something. We went to a nearby hot spring in the evening, then had the guesthouse’s full crab course for dinner. It was thoroughly satisfying. There’s a convenience store nearby, too, so if you have the energy, you can take a walk and pick up some drinks for later ☺️

Dinner’s crab was especially tasty, and I ate until I was full. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I’d read some reviews saying the service was poor, but that wasn’t my experience. I’d only ask that they let guests grill the crab themselves. I was surprised to be given extra crab to take home, and enjoyed it after I returned. Thank you!

I booked at the last minute because I really wanted crab, and I was a little uneasy after reading the reviews beforehand. The kind father and mother looked after me. Maybe the details don’t quite match what you’d expect from a traditional Japanese inn, but for the price and the amount of food, I was very satisfied.
