The room and hotel were clean, and we had a beautiful view of the sunset. The owner and staff were kind and attentive. Dinner was delicious, especially the crab, and the sashimi was great too. Looking out over the beach at night, you might spot a deer. I really enjoyed my stay.

The ocean looked beautiful at sunset, and the inn was peaceful. The beach could use some cleanup, though that may be up to the city or parks department. The staff, rooms, onsen, and food were all excellent. The crab tasted great, but there was more than I could manage. I traveled with Japanese-speaking locals, so language wasn't an issue; I can't say how easy it would be for an English speaker traveling alone. Getting down the stairs to the onsen could be difficult or impossible for someone with a physical disability, and an elevator would help.

The service was excellent, and the foreign staff did their best even though their Japanese was broken. I visited during the recent cold snap and chose frozen crab because local crab was expensive. It didn't taste very good, perhaps because it lost flavor while thawing. The rice porridge wasn't especially tasty either. I wish I'd paid more for the local crab. 😣
