The service was great, and the owner did his best to make sure we were comfortable. The design is beautiful, with traditional Japanese rooms. We stayed in the room Villa, which had its own shower. A washing machine and dryer were available at no extra cost. It's next to a subway station and Nijo-jo. Perfect, and we'd come back!

For our honeymoon in Kyoto, this little hotel felt like home. We loved staying in the duplex rooms, and the location was perfect.

The building has an interesting feel, and the location is good. It was very clean, too. The problem was the heating: we arrived late, turned it on, and still spent the whole night freezing. Getting to the toilets, lounge, or bathroom also means stepping outside the room and into three separate nearby spaces. That’s especially inconvenient at night or in cold weather.

I liked the traditional look, and the hotel was decent, but it felt too small for four people. The nearest stations are a 15-20 minute walk away, so be prepared to walk a lot unless you’re happy to spend money on buses.
