The neighborhood was really quiet, just steps from the historic district. Takase was a great host, helping us get around and showing us how everything worked. The townhouse was beautiful and spacious, with two convenient bathrooms, and everything was clean and tidy. Booking it is an easy choice.

We were shown around when staff welcomed us at the door, and the alarmed entrance made the place feel secure. The house is beautifully decorated in a traditional Japanese style, with wooden walls over 100 years old. It’s right in the middle of the Kyoto sights, with convenience stores just seconds away. We had air conditioning in every room, plus a dehumidifier, and everything needed for cooking. Though food from convenience stores is so cheap, we barely needed to cook. Highly recommend.

The host was so warm and helpful with every question, and we’re already hoping to come back. We loved this sweet traditional two-story home. It’s in a really quiet spot, close to a bus stop and shrines, with Lawsons, 711, Family Mart and a 24/7 supermarket nearby. One of the highlights of our trip for sure.

A lovely place to stay in Kyoto. The deep bathtub and heated floors were great, and our host replied to messages really quickly and was kind.

We slept really well in the comfortable beds, and there was plenty of room to enjoy the feel of a traditional Japanese house. The host was incredibly kind and made our time in Kyoto even better. Shops in the Gion district and Yakasa Shrine are both very close. Thanks for such a lovely stay, we hope to return someday!
