The staff were really friendly, and they provide almost everything you need. The location is excellent and the value for money is great. Just perfect.

The location is amazing, and the rooms are comically small. My boyfriend and I stayed in one and still had the best time. You get free amenities downstairs, including soap, bath bombs, tea, and coffee, plus a water and ice machine and a free bathhouse. There’s also a vending machine with alcoholic and soft drinks available 24/7, and a simple breakfast at no charge. If you’re okay with the tiny room, you’re all set.

The staff were rude and xenophobic, and I received no compensation or even an apology. Cleaning is only done on request. To ask for it, you have to get up, get dressed, go downstairs to the first floor, and put a special card in a special box before 8 am. You only find that out if you know Japanese. I requested cleaning every day. After the second night, I found blood marks on the sheet that the laundry hadn’t removed. I asked for a fresh sheet so I could change it myself. It was past 9:30 pm, I’d just bathed and was getting ready for bed before an early morning, and I didn’t want male receptionists in my room. While changing the sheet, I was shocked by how stained the mattress cover was and how dirty and blood-stained the mattress itself was. I’d slept on it for two nights. Who knows how many guests had been exposed to the same highly unhygienic conditions before me. It’s a real shame this can happen in Japan. Now I carefully check the mattress in every hotel room I stay in. Please check yours if you stay here.

A neat, clean, budget-friendly hotel right in the city center, within walking distance of many places. You can check yourself out, and there are free drinks, coffee, tea, and water, which is unusual in Japan. The beds were clean and the Wi-Fi worked well.
