Comfort Hotel Kyoto Toji

We really enjoyed our six-night stay. The location worked perfectly for us, about 15 minutes on foot from the train station, with a metro line and bus stop just 50 meters away. Everyone was kind, and they cleaned the room each day and changed the sheets midway through the stay. The room was big enough for us, and everything was perfect.

Getting around was easy, with Kintetsu Toji Station about a three-minute walk away and a LAWSON right beside the hotel. The area felt peaceful without being isolated or crowded. The staff were very welcoming, and guests get complimentary drinks and afternoon tea desserts. There are coin-operated washers too. Breakfast costs extra. My double room was modern and roomy, with a mini fridge, kettle, bathtub, towels, desk and chairs, TV, toiletries, and slippers. It had pretty much everything I needed. For the price, this hotel is a great deal and I’d recommend it.

Just across from Toji station, so getting to Kyoto central station takes about five minutes by train. The hotel also has a bus stop 50 meters away, making the major sights easy to reach. Rooms are nice and fairly spacious for Japan, and I liked the breakfast. There’s a convenience store next door, with a few small restaurants and a shopping mall within walking distance. A very handy option for visiting Kyoto without staying right in the middle of everything. Highly recommend.

The location made getting to Kyoto Station simple, since the nearby station is just one stop away. Walking to tourist spots can be a long way, though. We were pleasantly surprised by how much space there was beside the bed to open our luggage, and the bathroom products were good quality. The facilities looked modern and were kept clean. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices for different diets. My partner is vegetarian and had plenty to pick from, and there were Japanese-style dishes to try as well. The staff were knowledgeable, warm, and helpful with anything we needed. They even called our next hotel to confirm we were sending the luggage to the right address. I’d consider coming back here or staying at another hotel in the same chain.
