Our 2BR apartment on the ninth floor was roomy, clean, and quiet, and the staff made us feel welcome from the start. We also appreciated the laundry facilities and the lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks. The ground-floor library was beautiful. It’s a handy base for seeing Kyoto and the surrounding area, and we thought it offered great value. We really enjoyed our stay at the HIDEOUT Suite hotel and would recommend it.

We were in the corner suite for four nights and made breakfast there, with toast, eggs, salmon, bacon, avocado, cherry tomatoes, and cream cheese. The kitchen was fully stocked, and you can also buy filled bagels at reception. The room is huge, with a big dining table, two large TVs, a spacious bathroom, and a view of Kyoto tower. I accidentally deleted most of my photos, sorry, though I still have the tower and breakfast shots. There’s a wide range of snacks, including noodles and soup, plus coffee, matcha lattes, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, and a wine dispenser. Check-in comes with a limited number of free wine tokens. Staff were very friendly, and we got a great deal by booking five months ahead. The train station is a four-minute walk away, and Aeon mall, with a great food market, is about ten minutes away. The 5pm check-in time was tough after a long, sleepless flight, but they let us in at 4pm. Highly recommended.
We loved staying here and would absolutely choose it again on another trip to Kyoto. It’s a great base near Kyoto Station and Kyoto Tower, with loads of places to eat and drink nearby.
The location made meals and quick shopping easy, with Kyoto Station just a short walk away and plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Our HIDEOUT Premium Suite at Tune Stay was 92㎡ and felt like a stylish apartment, with separate living and dining areas, a kitchenette, a large bathroom with double sinks and a soaking tub, and an extra powder room. The king bed was very comfortable, and the record player gave the suite a cozy feel. We made good use of the coin laundry in the main Tune Stay building, along with the shared kitchen and dining area. There’s also a lovely library and a sunken theater showing short films. In the HIDEOUT annex, one lounge on the 8th floor has records guests can borrow for their suites. The 9th-floor lounge offers free soft drinks and beer, while wine comes with a special coin at check-in. The facilities made the stay comfortable and fun. This was one of my best Kyoto hotel stays, and I’d highly recommend it for its space, style, and convenience.
We loved the modern design, especially the wall of windows, and it was great having a living room and kitchen, even though we didn’t cook. The bed was much more comfortable than I expected, and everything was clean. Hideout felt like a hidden treasure. I was nervous because there weren’t many reviews, especially after friends told me they disliked their Kyoto hotels, but we had a great stay. The lounge past the main hotel lobby was really nice, with free snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We arrived around 12:30am, and the staff stayed up and kept it open in case we wanted something to eat or drink. For the price, it’s a steal. Highly recommend. Just a heads-up, it’s a western-style room with a king bed.
