Set in a residential area, the place is very quiet, and the rates are reasonable. The facilities are clean and well cared for, and I found the stay comfortable. I’d recommend it for solo travelers or families.

The owner is kind and happy to share lots of information about Kyoto, and the baths and toilets are clean and easy to use. This is one of my favorite guesthouses. The beds are soft and fluffy, unlike the beds in other two-story guesthouses, so I can properly relax after a long day of travel.

The owner was so kind and gave me lots of sightseeing tips for Kyoto. The hostel was clean and comfortable, and not far from the station. It was my first visit to Kyoto since a school trip. The bed was incredibly fluffy, and I slept in longer than I meant to. I’d especially recommend it for a girls’ trip.

The beds in the men’s and women’s dorms are single beds rather than bunks, with lockers separating them, so the setup is comfortable. There’s also one family room, and towels and bath towels are provided. The owner, Mr. Iwamoto, is welcoming and can manage basic English, so Japanese isn’t necessary. At 3600 yen a night in any season, it’s especially affordable during cherry blossom season. Highly recommended.

The room was roomy and clean, and the owner was very kind. I stayed one night over two days, and would definitely book here again on another trip to Kyoto.
