Hotel Arrows Arashiyama

It was easy to check in by ourselves, and although check-in is late, we were told we could wait in the large, comfortable lobby. The location worked well for the Bamboo forest and temples, with a bus stop nearby, a train station a few minutes away, or a 3 km walk along the river. There’s a supermarket next door and a lovely Indian restaurant across the road. The place feels brand new and has a luxurious hotel feel. Our twin room was comfortable, with a small fridge, kettle, and a full-sized bath. There’s also a microwave in the shared area. We were absolutely blown away.

So affordable for what you get. It was really clean, had all the amenities we needed, and was within walking distance of the train station and a family mart. Honestly, it was perfect!

I’ve never seen such a clean hotel, from the outside through the room and even inside the elevator. It smelled so good, and the bathroom was my favorite part, spotless, 10/10. Service was good too. Parking is free if you reserve a spot, and there’s a supermarket next door. This was my first time booking a hotel in kyoto, and I’ll recommend it to friends visiting kyoto.

The free bikes came in really handy. Most of the nearby sights are a 15-20 minute ride away, and biking around here was a lovely experience. The hotel also has plenty of room amenities and a nice, homely feel. Service and hospitality were amazing. I’d recommend staying here to friends and family, 5/5.
