Kyomachiya Hotel Mifuku

Mifuku was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan, and we’d absolutely stay again. It’s in a great location, and the staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful. The room was clean and cosy, with a peaceful traditional atmosphere that made it feel like a real Japanese stay. The ryokan is beautiful and full of character, a lovely mix of comfort and traditional charm.

The staff made this stay for me, especially Boyd, whose advice about places to see in Kyoto was invaluable. These traditional townhouses are very cool, and I even had a garden of my own. It’s a quiet spot, a little out of the way for public transport, but only a short walk from Kiyomizu-dera. Boyd gave me so much useful information.

We left my wife’s makeup bag behind, and the super friendly staff shipped it to our next hotel. They were great, and I can’t say enough good things about them. It’s a cozy, historic inn in Kyoto, with easy access to the Kanazawa District.

I wanted to try a Ryokan during my Japan trip, and this stay met all my expectations. The suite was huge, clean, and comfortable, with its own courtyard. It was relaxing, and there was plenty to do nearby, plus public transit was close. I had a great experience and can’t recommend it enough!
